Hey Danny, that is excellent advice. Grim Reapers are made with utmost care and quality attention. There’s nothing like knowing you will get the animal and especially watching it drop….for shorter blood trails and longer stories hunt with the Grim Reaper and Watch’em Drop! Take care Jay.

First, make sure that your State allows 10 year old’s to hunt deer. I definitely think you should take her with you on a deer hunt. – Robert Hoague

It’s an awesome shooter very easy to draw very smooth and a sweet holding weight! I will never sell mine as it’s as dependable as they come and a blessing to my Darton bow collection! Ted Harpham sold me the bow and was dead on when he told me I’d love it thanks Ted my friend! Rex your awesome too for designing and making such great bows!!

My 10-year-old daughter has health issues that prevent her from using a regular bow for shooting. However, she’s been expressing her desire to go hunting with me, so I’m considering getting a crossbow for her. The plan is to set up a double bull and find a good spot where she has a decent chance of taking a shot. She has experience shooting her 22 rifle.

Hi Brian how’s it going? Hope you are doing well, and still killing them big bucks? I’ve had decent luck the past few years but haven’t been able to hunt as much as I wanted. They can’t go wrong listening to you, and I know you love some Grim Reaper heads. Take care Brian.

Never had a problem with them and was so surprised at first when got pass through after pass through with them. I switched a few times when a “better” head came out but it was never a better head only a “big” problem. Well I learned my lesson and now understand that there are trade offs in everything, you want more penetration you give up cut size and therefore blood trails are smaller, you want incredible blood trails you often try to use to big a broadhead , getting you limited penetration and sometimes even losing an animal in the process. It can be overwhelming for a young bowhunter starting out , I’ve been a Bowhunter for 30+ years now and I’ve used everything out there for big game and especially ?deer, which is my favorite animal to hunt, and if you want some good advice I’ll tell you, use an American made product that’s tested and does exactly what it says it does , use Grim Reaper broadheads and watch em drop. I have for years and I will continue to because they work for me and they’ll work for you. Sight in with field points, then screw on your mechanical Grim Reapers and hunt, that simple. Ofcourse you can shoot one mechanical next to the field points to compare points of impact, mine are always the same shooting same grain Grim Reapers and they always shoot like that out of my tuned PSE Carbon Air. Good luck but you won’t need it, shoot the Reapers and watch em, yeah, drop !!!

Only thing I can add is the bears incredible intelligence, with that said as far as I’m concerned ,the good Lord carries most of the credit for bear harvest .

Comment on Is Your Broadhead The Best One For Wild Turkey? by Jim Litmer https://bowhunting.net/2023/03/the-best-turkey-broadhead/#comment-41679 Wed, 15 Mar 2023 23:22:10 +0000 http://ethereal-zucchini.flywheelsites.com/?p=75045#comment-41679 Tracy, I agree with the fact the GR’s are great for turkey but take a slightly different approach for where to aim. The entire body cavity is covered with fluffed up feathers which is hard to define the placement of the softball. Consider this if you will. The waddle however is exposed, and doesn’t move nearly as much as the head. Hit the waddle area and you might as well have cut his head off. If you miss the neck you get to hunt another day and haven’t hurt the bird.?
