During March, around here, the bucks shed their antlers.
And just for grins, below is a picture of a young Longhorn steer that is wandering around the deer woods property. This bull is a youngster but he definitely has some weight on him.
This Year’s First Buck Picture
After the bucks shed their antlers in March I’m always on pins and needles and constantly watching for bucks that have their new antler lumps showing on top of their heads. And voila, check the first buck out.9
